As the next Millennium does not start til Jan. 1, 2001 I cannot agree. If you mean Jan. 1, 2000 than I agree it will be at least 50 by then.

If the millennium starts with the first day of 2000 then a dime has only nine cents, a century only 99 years and a millennium only 999 years. 2000 is the LAST year of the second millennium. 2001 will be the FIRST year of the third millennium.

This is my main pet peeve lately and everybody seems to get it wrong, even those who should know better.
