Very bold, indeed! Good luck to you.

And what is your agenda on this thread besides trying to scare the small investor out of his or her shares? Your fancy titles and degrees mean nothing to folks on this thread so I suggest you give it a rest. Mark P. is a well respected, knowledgeable poster on the CMGI as well as other threads on SI and does not hide behind alias's as you suggest. Your insinuation that Mark P has no position in CMGI and is posting just to hype the stock is an insult to the thread and I would think an apology is due. I will refrain from additional posts to you as you are not worth my time and effort!

Steve

John, I stand on my record. And I'm glad you've put forth yours.

But there ought to be at least two rules for participating in a virtual family.

Rule 1: Be kind to family members.

Rule 2: Don't break the first rule.

Seems so simple, doesn't it?

Best regards,

Mark A. Peterson

JScurci -- It's not so much what you say but the snide, snotty way you say it. This thread accomodates all points of view, including negative comments on CMGI. Generally, views are better received if delivered in a civil manner and backed by factual information. Everyone here has an "agenda." That is to make money. Your 10k short shares tells me what I need to know about your agenda and the edge of hysteria in your posts. I'd be hysterical too if I were short CMGI at these levels.

Rough introduction... Talking about coming out swinging...

After the first round of punches, I have a bunch of questions to you (slightly different from what Mark asked you):

1) How do you use Internet? Other than email and reading web-pages, do you use it for something else? Do you think that there is money to be earned on the Internet? I am talking about BUSINESSES using Internet to generate revenues.
2) Do you feel that all Internet stocks are bs?
3) Are you short on other Internet companies?
4) Are there specific reasons for you picking on CMGI? You mentioned valuations, fundamentals, earnings... What about them? Could you be more specific?

>I am short 10,000 CMGI in my personal account.
You've got big ones, John. Out of curiosity, when did you open your position? What are your time limits to cover?

I am long CMGI because I answer "yes, absolutely" to question 1 above...

As a long I obviously disagree with you but admire the strength in your conviction. 10,000 shares short on this stock is either totally gutsy or insane. Good luck (sort of).
Mike

The "amateurs" on this board who are long on CMGI have outperformed all of Morgan Stanley's funds managed by their best M.B.A.'s, Ph.D.'s etc.
