Michelle,

Look, I really don't think we need to re-hash this over and over again. The only reason I responded to Joan is because I find her blatant condescension quite pathetic.

It doesn't really matter how Schuh "started out", all I know of him is what I described in my post to Joan, so how he changed (or did he just remove his "mask" of civility?) is more the issue and SI administration apparently agrees with that assessment. To say that he "went bonkers" because he was always under attack is a farce. The biggest gripe I had with this thread was that people kept responding to him in kind which only stimulated him further. Any "contributions" he made toward discussion were completely negated by the vile content of his posts. I frankly think he got some sort of perverse enjoyment out of it, and I'm sorry, as far as I'm concerned, good riddance to him. Obviously he doesn't belong on forum (SI) that tries to maintain some standards.

<<Of course I don't expect anyone here to agree, but I would encourage you all to check it out.>>

Michelle you know my position on probably every political issue. We almost always disagree right down the line. Disagreeing is the nature of politics. No body would ever comment on politics if everything was agreeable. As far as civility goes. I agree with you for the most part. But you said never. We have talked about music, fishing, travel, etc and I've seen political adversaries turn quite cordial. So, I wouldn't go along with "never," but close to never and I think it's both sides.

Long, long ago in a far away place... Dan was civil. Sounds like the Phantom Menace. He really went berserk over the mere mention of polls and runoff elections. Not to mention George Stephanopolous and Dick Morris.

Michelle, in regards to yesterday when you were discussing new internet themes. I thought you would like to know. I have it on good authority that a new site dealing in bicycles will be launched soon. The site will be huge and all encompassing. Some of the best web-services talent in the world are involved in launching it.

Come to think of it, I'm surprised no one has done it yet. Bicycles must be a 50 billion dollar industry. Anyway, I'm not sure yet of the site name, but I believe it will be here.

Dan was quite civil. The conservatives never were...

This is something one might expect from The Dark Mistress of SUGdom.
