Ironic that IBM supports AMD chips more than just about any major vendor but Compaq. Anyhoo, I do expect "all AMD-inside" K7 systems to be brisk sellers, and certainly more than 10k from Compaq alone is more than possible in its first 3 months. Btw, what disadvantage do you see in AMD chipsets?

As for your being "upset that AMD hasn't risen more on the K7 hype", that's very believable. Being that you're actively trying to down-hype in on this thread. I very much doubt that you have any vested interest in AMD going up at all, but rather in it going down. But that's perfectly fine with me.

Joey,

You don't really believe AMD will ship only 10K systems by September.. Do you?

If you do, you should make some good friends at either the major box makers or AMD. AMD will be well over 10K systems..
