Given the average wage in China, low-end electronics prevail, even more than they do in teh United States. Until DVD competes with VCD/SVCD on a hardware and software basis, you'll see a disparity between the two. There is bound to be a large supply of pirate VCD discs around to keep up demand for the players. Are DVD discs more difficult to pirate?

Steve...what does your source say about ESST in SVCD? Hey ...my trading shares are almost even!! Pigs can fly I guess... Anyone notice the video chippers perking up today like ATYT, TQNT, SIII, etc???
