On the other hand, collusion between corporate management and institutional investors to shaft the small investor, equally against the law, doesn't concern the SEC.

But just let one or two SMALL investors even think about it - easy meat!!!

Are you sure it's illegal? Would it be illegal for me to recommend that all of my friends buy a particular stock? If I had a lot of friends with a lot of money, wouldn't the laws of supply and demand dictate that the price would necessarily rise and therefore we would have, by definition, manipulated the price? Why isn't it illegal for for a broker to upgrade/dowgrade a stock?

What do you think of the following quote from someone who claims to have 6,000 share:
