I think it was last year sometime that I said ATHM was nuts if they thought the courts would let them have a monopoly. They were under the radar screen until T came along. With T on board, trying to keep other ISPs out is like OJ asking for a marriage counselor license. I still like and hold ATHM, though, it's still a great 3 to 5 year hold.

<What effect will that unknown have on the stock?> Probably not too positive in the short term, wished I would have jumped on the small ISP's today instead trading ATHM on the dead cat bounce...oh well....I think there's a good chance the selling will continue into Monday morning being that most people probably havn't even heard the news yet. Eric, You said this << Superior marketing will defeat superior technology every time>> Message 9045935 I still think the fastest way (maybe the only way) to see our first million dollars worth on ATHM is to have lots and lots of people signing up for cable modem service, no matter those signed up is with @Home, Chinese On Line, MindStop, or MarsLink… It doesn't mean I welcome other IPSs, I just think ATHM has no big problem competing with others. ATHM stock price was being raided with no proper defense for the past few weeks. Something there to make @Home management constantly in panic mode is not a bad thing. ATHM has enough advantage on its side, can't be counting on T only to give surprises, ATHM needs to show some surprise to justify its price level. What can I say? I just don't deserve any reward that is not properly earned. As for <<Think for a minute: why did DSL stocks surge on the news?>> I don't have any better idea than you do. Even my biggest dog PAIR barked today. I guess if you are not friend, you must be the enemy; in this case, everyone went up because there is only one and unique ATHM. Thank you for all you nice posts, I read, and will be reading, every one of them.
