Mike,

Do you have a pick for the Belmont? By the way, the rest of the racing card looks great and the weather forecast is excellent.

I have two major insights.

1. The public usually overbets the horse going for the triple crown.

2. Most fillies (especially 3 yos) do not want to run 1 1/2 on the dirt. So this is a gosh darn tough spot for her against colts who are running just about as fast in some bruising races vs her easy trips against woefully overmatched competition.

Given these insights and assuming the betting is similar to what I expect, I will probably focus on exotics leaving the filly out all together and keeping Charismatic off the top spot.

I don't think I'll get a high enough price on Menifee to make a win bet. Perhaps Patience Game may be high enough, but I'll need a pretty square price since I rate him below Charismatic and Menifee. I'll also probably use Stephen Got Even, and perhaps a couple of others in the minor spot depending on the prices.

I expect the racing gods to intervene and prevent a triple crown tomorrow. That title is saved for the great ones. But if he does come through I can't wait to see the crowd's reaction after just missing it the last two years and waiting over 20. Everyone is really hungry.

Good Luck

Wayne

MB: LOL...He looked as if he was carrying Foreman and Tyson. Too fast for the filly, and now I have to hear it next week from a buddy in Lexington who told me he was betting Lemon Drop Kid! Hope he had the exacta, but I think not. Too bad about Charismatic. He was lucky Antley was aboard. I don't ever recall a jock holding up a horses leg until help arrived.
