But not repricing options does not punish the guilty managers, and ultimately backfires on the shareholders with the exodus of the best employees (who are aggressively recruited because of that gap in expected compensation)-- when you need them most. Hey, maybe they'll take a few thousand lines of source code when they leave, too. <jab> :) Put yourself in the shoes of a hard-working employee. What would motivate you to stay if you could make up for the option shortfall by just going down the street? It's economics, not management spin. Good luck, JE
