You made a good post and then you stuck this at the end: What about @home getting return on its investment and intellectual property for helping make this all come together to begin with? The goodwill will be amortized. You seem to forget that it is the ATHM network that others can freely ride. Are you saying that ATHM isn't sufficiently creative to find ways to make that fact pay within anyone's constraints? I believe that ATHM would be made twice as profitable by encouraging all to use their premises. Now, don't you think that most would want to get it all built out and therefore would pay to help it get built out? What is the big problem? NO BUILD OUT. It behooves T and ATHM to get everyone aboard before other technologies come in and preempt the game.
