Kosovo and LU, War over A report on CNBC said LU could get contracts to help rebuild there phones and communication equip. Analyst's comment... Lucent will be the likely frontrunner to rebuild the telecommunications industry of Yugoslavia, which lies near ruin. LU is the only company that can rapidly supply, install and repair any telecom equipment, on a massive scale, deploying their own 'in house' team of technicians. The European companies would take considerably more time to respond at this level since they do not have such a technical team contingent already in place.
