Dr Jacobs is supposed to be interviewed on Nightly Business report on Monday.
Barrons comments by Castro: No wonder Castro has been wrong about Qcom. He has no understanding of Ericsson deal or royalty agreement. If he knows this little about this, why did he even mention Qcom.
Good luck to all,
Robert d.

Anyone know how the Bluetooth technology will impact QCOM?

There are more incorrect statements concerning CDMA in general later on in the Barron's interview.

Another sick part of this interview is Grubman's continuous WCOM hype. The guy makes $25 million per year, is both an analyst and an investment banker(no conflict there) and uses Barron's to hype his biggest client on every page. Welcome to Wall Street!!!

This is one more example of not just poor journalism but an agenda other than reporting facts accurately and completely; namely, to influence stock price. This kind of behavior in BARRON'S is not unheard of over the past several years, particularly with regard to QCOM.

(from the article) <<The big question is, what will Qualcomm, which now is like a bank, do with all the money it received from selling its infrastructure business to Ericsson? I don't have an answer.>>

But that every company I own a piece of had the *problem* of what to do with a huge chunk of cash. And those future revenue inflows from royalties; what the heck will they do with all that money?

Sigh!

What an idiot without anyunderstanding at all. It exemplifies the fine sources that barrons uses!

Should the traders of WS react to the Bearron's article in their predictably stupid ways, I would gladly scoop up some more shares of Q* -- still have some dry powder left.

Just arrived at the post about the moronic Barrons article on Telecomm stuff.

Usually, I am reluctant to post a copyrighted Barrons article because I have a (slight) nagging fear that someone from Barrons could contact me and (legitimately) say "Come on, we're trying to run a business. Please do not 'give it away for free.' "

This time, if I do end up posting it (I'll see if it posted later on in the thread), my only fear is that Barrons will reprimand me for posting such piss poor journalism.

Jon.
