t the freakn judge in portland wants competition, then he
should let Ma Bell do its thing so the people in portland
and elsewhere can have alternative phone plans...

In regards to the competition within the ISP area, broadband
is not the final say...there are other alternatives like
sat, DSL, traditional phone lines etc...so how can this freakn judge
say that he needs to ensure competition for his people...

I think like the Leyman Bros political analyst said...FCC will
step in because they original okayed the mergers...they know
what is best in regards to the Telecom Act...I am buying
in big...Athm is not stopping their operation, if you do a little
research, they are still busy making deals abroad...hundreds of
other cities approved their plan...the Portland judge just
wants to make a name for himself...I think Ma Bell/Athome should
say well, you go get someone else to upgrade the network because
Athome will not be coming to your city...

If you think Ma Bell will let a little judge like that cost them
over 1/2 of their stock valuation of athome (high at 198) then
you must be smoking something...

The guy is a clown. He says this is bad, but you should buy. I say that it isn't bad and you shouldn't buy. It could be bad if T goes off on some legal righteousness pursuing escapade based on the image they are having of themselves as a regulator buster.
