Donald, the end of month/first of month phenomenon relates to new
cash inflows that are available in the form of monthly month end checks, credits to money market funds, and whatever other payments that occur on the first of the month. It is a time of increased liquidity.

Another phenomenon is the 10th day of the third month of each quarter.
