A Definite Competitor In Content Distribution... Found a very interesting company by doing some rooting around in my local Blockbuster. The company is called Net Active. And their site is located at channelware.com. I haven't had to time to vet it carefully. But, they do have interesting partners like Compaq, Imagine Entertainment, Sierra, The Learning Company, and Red Storm Entertainment. Further, theirs is a "try before you buy or rent" service, involving something called E-tickets (that are scratch-off tickets you can get at Blockbuster.) I am told that they will be distributing diskettes for free in cereal boxes before the end of the year. Not saying they pose a significant threat. But, did want to note their existence.
