Okay, Abdul Haq. I'll try to lay it out for you more clearly. In the traditional (I stress traditional) Christian view, God is all-powerful, all-good, and all-knowing. He is also the creator of the entire universe -- not just of man. Hebce the question arises: if he is all-good, why did he create a world in which there is evil? This is the classic "problem of evil"; attempts to resolve it are called "theodicies." The problem disappears if you drop one or more of the traditional attributes: if you say He is all-good, but not all-powerful, then the black widow spider, say, is not His "fault". If He is all-powerful, but not all-good (some people prefer power to goodness), then it's just tough luck about the spider; similarly, if there is no God at all, or at least no God with anything resembling a conscious will. Interesting -- I thought that traditional Islam had a similar conception of an all-good, all-knowing, all-powerful Creator God. From your response, I can only conclude I was wrong. Joan Edit: P.S.
