The deal had been done.

Allen paid $66.06/share for $300M worth of shares, on top of that, he paid $90/share to purchase shares from Directors for about $1.5M.

How could it be possible to renegotiate a done deal?

Please disclose your position about GNET, so I can better judge your opinion.

Thanks,

Larry

GNET >>> GNET will NOT drop. Reasons why GNET will hit $125 before

GNET will see $125 before it sees $85 for several reasons. If you think GNET is bound to decline and hit $90 and less than I must say you are totally wrong. If for some reason lets say GNET dropped to $85, Paul Allen will still not back out because the time he had made this offer GNET was under $80 if I remember correctly. GNET shot up thereafter and due to the fact that investors liked that news and then the overall market for internet stocks was strong which was fueled by better than expected quarterly results and 2:1 stock split.
With all that GNET shot up to $199 at one point. But don't forget Paul Allen had made his offer way to long ago and the stock price at that time was much lower than what it is even today.
Few reasons why GNET will see $125 before it will see $90 or less.

1) On 10th Russ will be presenting at Paine Webber conference.

2) Split record date is on 17th June and split will be effective on 24th June.

3) Annual General meeting is on 12th or 15th of this month if I remember correctly.
4) GNET is seeing super strong growth of increase in page views and unique visitors. Growth rate of 36% in past few months is impressive.

5) Paul Allen deal should finalize this month.
6) Vulcan Venture's Wired world strategy should help GNET positively
7) Overall sentiment now appears to be bullish towards internet stocks. View this and you will see the bullish sentiment.

8) Silicon Investor will hit 10 million posts mark may be today or tomorrow. Expect that to become topic of talk on wall street and financial world.

Bottomline my feeling is GNET will be around $125 - $150 before June 24th.

Just my views.
