Back onto the competition question(s). Of the companies included in the competition link I posted I have found that the following companies have outpaced the rest of the market by a longshot. Most of the others on the above link are just lottery tickets. Here are the competitors that will challenge CUST at every level and their strengths: Trintech: lots of funding, raised 24M private round recently, strong international presence Cybersource: good fraud detection module, mgt has excellent track record, are entirely focused on internet secure payments, have filed s-1 i believe Clear Commerce- chairman of board did Tandem computers in past life, they have a VERY broad product offering in terms of functionality with secure payments ICVerify/Cybercash- excellent branding, well funded Paylinx- focused on enterprise payments, strong management team, well-funded, mature product Verisign- excellent branding, has strong mind share with top internet merchants MOST OF THE COMPANIES ON THE LIST THAT CAME OUT WITH ANONYMOUS PAYMENT MECHANISMS THAT REQUIRED VENDOR COORDINATION/VENDOR BEHAVIOURAL CHANGES FOR PAYMENTS ARE NOW DEFUNCT OR HAVE CHANGED STRATEGIES. I haven't made my decision on this one to short this beast yet, but I'm getting closer. When my file on CUST is a foot tall, I'll make my decision one way or another.
