ISP, what about the Sun-Netscape/Equifax alliance? Seems like a beast in the making, my thoughts are superior marketing will kill superior technology 99% of the time and it seems this alliance will have marketing clout up the wazoo.---- Not Howie

Have you looked at RSA/Security Dynamics? RSA is the leader in the field of cryptography and their technology is used by VRSN. They have a non-compete agreement with VRSN which expires in April 2000.

One thing which might prevent RSA from entering this field - RSA (http://www.rsa.com/) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Security Dynamics which owns more than 5% of VRSN.

VRSN's 10-K mentions RSA as a potential risk factor.

You have discarded: FDC, CKFR and Visa International.

Do you consider them to be non-competitors in this segment?
