I believe he was asking about buying above the ask. You can use ARCA to buy above the ask just as you can sell below the bid. Unlike ISLD, if your order is not filled it will be posted to the market once your order becomes the inside market. But until that happens, ARCA will continue to work your order. With ISLD, you may be left with a partial fill and the rest of your order would be cancelled.

What about the ARCA feature "post no preference"...

Does a check of "post no preference" cause only an ARCA vs ARCA match, or visa versa?
