I believe that one of the key factors to survive the latest Bre-X effect all mining and exploration companies are experiencing is to go with companies that have CASH IN THE BANK.

Of course you also need proven management, and great properties which have significant drilling programs either in progress or upcoming in 1997.

I invite you all to "SHOW ME THE MONEY"!

Here are the guidelines for posting to this thread:
1. NO HYPE - just facts please
2. Every submission must include the following min. information:

a. cash on hand TODAY in milions $Cdn (or as recent info as possible - call your favourite company's IR to confirm if needed).

b. number of shares issued and cash per share. i.e. if a company has $8 million cdn from a recent financing and 15 million shares, this equals $0.53 per share.

c. brief summary of company's activities, results to date, location, % ownership of main property, 1997 drilling plan or progress to date, budgeted amount (millions) for '97 drilling programs.

d. links for SI threads, company homepage, etc.

3. If the company has PROVEN reserves which can be valued, please include this information at a conservative rate (i.e. no more than $50 /oz for proven gold). You may also calculate what value per share the proven resources are. Don't inflate your figures by using $150/ oz etc. or inferred gold finds. In this market even "proven?" reserves (i.e. BXM) will not get full value.

4. Other info like 52 week high vs. low, current price range over last 30 days, float, fully diluted shares, and average trading volume could also be helpful.

5. Please complete your analysis BEFORE posting here on the thread. i.e. don't hype a company without all relevant facts.

I will summarize results as required.
Now it't time to SHOW ME THE MONEY $$$$$$
