Schlotzsky's, Inc. is a franchisor of quick service restaurants that feature made-to-order sandwiches with unique sourdough buns. For the three months ended 3/31/97, total revenues rose 54% to $6.3 million. Net income rose 41% to $889 thousand. Revenues reflect the opening of 109 restaurants and a 37% increase in the sales level of the Company's Flagship store. Earnings also reflect lower restaurant cost of sales as a % of revenues due to improved operating efficiencies.
