DT-RIM supports the Stock Trader from both sides of the spectrum:
1. Ideas: Finds stock opportunities/idea in realtime
DT-RIM alerts you of stock ideas in realtime, by scanning the entire
market (or any custom subset) and comparing the current activity
against its internal database containing all the regular ranges of the 6000 main stocks on NASDAQ/NYSE/AMEX using more than 30 studies.

2. Portfolio: Supports you once you hold and enter a position
2a. Automatic Portfolio Management
DT-RIM will automatically add a new position to your portfolio
(or close or modify existing positions) when you trade with the standard RealTick3 program.
2b. Alarms
Once the best ask price reaches your specified target level
(or best bid price reaches your specified stop loss level)
DT-RIM will play a customizable sound and flash that position
in your portfolio on the screen (red=loss, green=gain)
2c. Accounting/Taxes
DT-RIM automatically writes all transactions to a Quicken Import File (RIM.qif) as well as to a detailed history. Then you can use
StockTax(www.ObviousSoft.com) to generate your 1040-D in minutes...
2d. Graphic Display
DT-RIM shows you each position in an intuitive colored graph
2e. True realtime Profit/Loss
DT-RIM will re-calculate on each tick your true profit/loss
by including the broker fees with many details which can all
be customized

One of RIM's main features is that all the events are normalized to the context of each specific stock, for example:
When Microsoft(MSFT) is having a volume of 2Mill shares so far in the day it is nothing unusual, but for many other stocks
this could be a very high volume indicating a drastic price change in the making. RIM will show contains 4 volume studies
which will compare the current day volume to the 20/50/200 Avg and all time high Volume and shows you the percentages,
therefore normalizing the numbers to a comparable percent amount.
RIM uses the more than 30 different studies to select stocks for you (see below).
RIM uses the NASDAQ Level I/II TalTrade datafeed via
the internet to get all the transactions of the entire
market in the three major exchanges: NASDAQ/NYSE and AMEX
RIM maintains an internal database with all the current
parameters for each stock for the normalization and will
automatically updated and maintain all the data, including
New Stocks (IPO's), Stock Splits, Symbol Changes and the
regular closing prices.
RIM also can shows you instantly a 60 day graph for any stock
appearing in any of the study lists.
RIM also shows you in the Portfolio View each of your
positions with last price, volume, last change, profit or loss
including the transaction fee, percentage gain/loss and
investment amount. You can sort the positions by
Name,Profit/Loss, Investment Amount, Last Price.
RIM will also display an intuitive graphic representation of your
position showing the day high/low, current price, your entry point,
your Target and Stop Loss Price.
RIM comes with a details 120 page online help explaining
all the 50 functions and 31 studies and some trading strategies.
