Introduction Compact

I sold XXXX last year and XXX last week and since then they have gone up XXX % and XX %.! And then I bought XXX and lost ... (don't ask). And I was thinking about buying XXXX when it was XX per share pre-split and now it is selling for ... Please just put me out of my misery.
