The purpose of this forum is to discuss the activiites and results of the local exploration that is currently going on in the area. Also the significance of all this on world stage of pgm mining, refining, and supply.
First to clarify PGE's, this stands for Platinum Group Elements, which includes: Platinum, Palladium, Rhodium, Ruthenium, Iridium and Osmium.
This forum invites all interested in this area, as the recent development of the two largest producers of PGM's has joined in this area for the hunt. It promises to be a busy fall and winter for many companies. We currently know that Flag Resources, their sister company Golden Briar, Pacific Northwest, Mustang Minerals, and Aquiline Resources, which have optioned claims from Mustang Minerals. At the moment the concentration seems to be on the River Valley Intrusion, and seem to be concentrating on the Nippissing Diabase. If anyone can add to the list of explorer's in the area, it will be quite welcomed.
The geology of the area is quite complexed and discussions on this type of elements, rocks, intrusions, etc.
