I have just come from a thread where the requirement is that you support your theory of Market Direction with "glossy graphs...squiggly lines and prophecies of the demise of the markets in general. You must assume doom and gloom and no light must ever enter. To alleviate this problem I would like anyone to just simply put down what they think will happen in the markets in increments.

The increments should be 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months.

I invite all bulls, bears and even idiots to this thread. If you haven't a clue what you are talking about...don't worry, many others don't either....just make a call and we'll see how you do.

In the meantime if you wish to discuss fundamentals or technicals feel free, but gut feels are equally welcome.

The reason I started this thread is two fold, it gets people off the fence, you are either a bull or a bear! Your "calls or Predictions" will be indellibly marked into a message and every week, we all will take pride in poking fun at the wrong calls and applauding the right calls.

In your defence of your previous bad call please bring forward all the graphs and technical jargon to confuse the other posters, so as not to really be wrong. In fact always allude to a delay in the "second stage" of your predicted market.

If you are correct, then by all means declare yourself a "market guru" and get a book out as quickly as possible. But more importantly if questioned how you came up with your wonderous conclusions, just tell people that if you told them, you'd have to shoot them!

Be specific if you think the Nasdaq is going to fall, pick a number. 3453 isn't sufficient, pick 3453.029 it will make other people think you are smart enough to use a "calculator" and actually put effort and thought into your call.

Lastly if all else fails and you find you are cornered with a bad call, claim that you were in the hospital undergoing brain surgery "when all of a sudden" you were handed a laptop.

I don't take life very seriously I confess. I am an active daytrader that is in tune with the market daily. My blood pressure is 107/77 and I want to keep it that way.

So if your conclusion is that the earth will end before next Tuesday, just put Nas "0", DOW"O" and for us Canucks TSE"-1" and CDNX-V"-4". Nikkeii -14,000 Hang Sang 8 etc etc!

Just have fun with this and don't take life to seriously!

VERY IMPORTANT
Silicon Investor has incorporated a "cloaking device". If you wish for only the receiving person to be able to read part of your message incorporate a "bracket and an asterick" at the start and end of the statement!

If you wish reply to a message and include something that the receiver is unable to see "BUT EVERYBODY ELSE is able to read then start the line with an asterik first then the bracket, you must end the line with bracket then asterick....the exact opposite of above!

The only RULE!!!Don't place specific stocks on this thread, no "stock calls, just market calls!
