As the year winds to an end, it is time to reflect back and to look ahead to the coming year and the investments that I think may prove to be wealth-builders.

In 1999, I offered my stock selections under the title.. "Nifty-Nine in 99 Plus One ". This year's selections I posted under..."2000* Year of the Biotech". Since their inception, the 1999 portfolio is to-date up by 94% and the 2000 list is YTD up 74%. I don't consider trading in or out of the stocks once they are selected, so it should be noted that at certain points in the life of these portfolios, each has been up more than 150%. Any prudent investor would have taken profits or sold the losers, when you consider that many have had significant moves, some have never increased by any great amount, and some have retraced some of their sizeable gains. My objective is to select stocks that I think will have a major move within the year in which they are selected. I will leave it up to the individual as to when to exit a position in a given stock, and I will personally buy or sell certain of these stocks in the future. I currently have a position in some of the stocks mentioned.

I have no formal training in stock selecting and since many of my selections are in the biotech field, it should be noted that I have no background in this industry. I am an avid reader and read numerous publications and reports that offer information about the various stocks I follow. Any investor should have a well-diversified portfolio and never invest more than they can afford to lose by investing in highly volatile small-cap stocks. I'm merely offering my stocks with hope that we can generate discussion about them or any other stock that one wishes to mention here.

The following portfolio of 13 stocks is based on putting $10,000.00 in each stock, based on the closing price of 12.8.200 and the share amounts rounded up to the nearest full share amount.
1) AGIX $6 5/8.....1509 Shares
2) ATRX $18 1/8.....552 Shares
3) AXCA $ 9 5/16...1074 Shares
4) CDIC $ 4 1/4....2353 Shares
5) DSCO $ 5 1/4....1905 Shares
6) FLMLY $ 5 5/8....1778 Shares
7) INKP $ 8 11/16..1151 Shares
8) ISIP $ 10 1/16..994 Shares
9) JMAR $ 4 1/16...2462 Shares
10)MSS $ 22 1/8...452 Shares
11)ORPH $ 14.00....714 Shares
12)TXN $49 1/2....202 Shares
13)VASC $10 7/8....503 Shares

Over the coming day, I plan to comment on why I like each of these stocks.
