Enblence, who bought NKT's PLC fab when they went belly up, is also far along on PLC tranceiver technology but seem to be concentrating on E-PON diplexer technology although they say they have B-PON and G-PON PLC based devices under development.

PLC technology will eventually work its way into other areas besides PON as well such as CWDM transmission, so an investment now might not be such a bad idea, providing the solution proves sound
