H&Q just initiated coverage of Siebel systems with a "Strong Buy". They went public at $17 a month or so ago and are now at about $29.

Siebel make Sales Automation software, and appear to be the de facto market leader in a market which seems to lack any other strong players.

Their web site (www.siebel.com) has some glowing references from some of their larger customers (Cisco, HP, etc.) but then again it would. Does anyone have any experience with their software? Is it any good?

This has a sort of PeopleSoft feel to it - nichey, ignored market segment together with a strong product and excellent marketing - but then I guess everyone's looking for the next PeopleSoft...
