I'm new to this site but already I've picked up some interesting information on various companies. I'd like to start a thread for Tyler Resources (TYS:TSE). They have joint ventures with Golden Rule (GNU:TSE) on properties in Saskatchewan and Mexico. The President of TYS and GNU is one person, Mr. Glen Harper. Several of the other B of D are also common to both companies. GNU is also a JV partner with Hixon Gold. Both companies recently had run-ups related to a propery in Ghana. The company I'm particularly interested in is TYS. Earlier this week their share price ran-up to .73 from about .50 before closing for the week at .51. I called the company for information. TYS wasn't doing anything to justify the movement, in fact, their drill program in Mexico doesn't commence until Jan. 27 (a CDN drilling company is contracted for the drill program). They (TYS) believe the run-up may be due to an "area play". Morgain Minerals (MGM:VSE) issued a release on Dec. 17 announcing some interesting results from a copper property they're working on in Mexico. Apparently, one or more of TYS's properties lies adjacent to MGM. In any event, MGM's price has increased from about 1.50 in early November to over 5.00 this past week. On Jan. 13 it was as high as 5.95 before it settled back on Friday. A brokerage firm, Midland ..., were doing a lot of the buying of TYS on Monday and Tuesday. I gleaned the above information from folks at TYS in Calgary and and Wood Gundy. If anyone can add anything to help me figure out where TYS is headed, I would appreciate it. It looks like this site has a lot of intelligence gathering folks willing to help each other. That's great. Nolan | ||||||||||||||
