Cangene is one of Canada's largest biotechnology companies. Founded in
1984 and headquartered in Mississauga, it uses patented manufacturing
processes to produce plasma-derived and recombinant therapeutic proteins. Its
FDA-licensed manufacturing facilities in Winnipeg were recently awarded ISO
9002:1994 registration for its quality systems. The Company is a member of The
Apotex Group of pharmaceutical companies, one of Canada's largest
domestically-owned pharmaceutical operations.

Trading halted today ( Mar. 25/97 ) on news of signing multi-million
dollar distribution agreement.
