There are more than a few intelligent people on this thread. Some are supposed to be outright geniuses while others perform technical analyses that seem like only a Ph.D. can do. Well, for those with time to spare from analyzing the internal workings of the market, I put forth a mental challenge for all you clever people. Four Men and a Bridge: At night, four men must cross a bridge with no lights. The bridge can only support a maximum of two men at a time walking side by side. The pair must carry the group's only flashlight with them. The time it takes to cross the bridge for each man is: 1, 2, 5, and 10 minutes. For example, if the 10 & 2 guys go across, it will take them 10 minutes since the slowest guy in the pair will determine the time. The flashlight must then be carried back so another pair can cross; it cannot be thrown back, it must be carried back. The flashlight's battery only lasts 17 minutes. How would the group match pairs to cross the bridge within this time? DF | ||||||||||||
