Saw a piece on CNBC about Playboy, a stock that missed the eighties runup but seems to be doing better this decade. Apparently some money managers don't want to touch it because it's controversial (a sad comment about how far this society has regressed into Victorianism). It's trading at a low PE, does well in the video/web business and plans to open casinos on Rhodes and other Greek Islands. (Having been there, I think this is a great idea. I can see Greek, Turkish, Egyptian men coming over in droves to Rhodes topless beaches by day and hanging out at the Playboy Casino at night. The Continent is about two decades behind the US and Playboy is still "cool"). This may be a brand name play as much as anything.
