Here's one for those interested in a little-known short candidate: ALPHANET TELECOM (FAX on the Toronto exchange). (NOT to be confused with Alphanet Solutions (ALPH)) ALPHANET Telecom is a company whose main business is supplying fax machines/services to hotels. Last quarter revenue ended August was US $2.0M. It lost $2.9 M. Sounds like a pretty ordinary business. But the catch is that it is constructing a Voice/FAX over IP network. Say "IP" and magic things start happening... The company has about 10M shares and its current price is $19 CDN or about $14 US. Market cap of $140M US is almost 20x sales. Short interest is less than 5%. Target price $3 US within 3 years. Disclaimer: I've a short position but this isn't a call for you to do the same. This is only for people who know what they're doing and don't mind a little excitement. Use appropriate financial precautions if you venture out on this puppy. | ||||||||||||
