Welcome to the Ed's Cat thread. Here, we take tongue-in-cheek investment advice from the feline stock picking phenomenon known only as "Ed's Cat".
The scene is somewhere near Redmond, Washington. In the quiet comfort of its home lies Ed's Cat. Suddenly, the silence is broken by the sound of music. The Beverly Hillbillies theme song plays loudly, and Ed's Cat sneezes uncontrollably. It is time for yet another stock update.
Since January 1, 1998, the stock picks of Ed's Cat have performed remarkably well. The top pick, ANCR, is up almost 100%. SHVA is up 45%, and COMS, and BROD are even. Here is a link to a 30-day chart for Ed's Cat's stock picks:

TOTALLY unsubstantiated rumors and predictions <g>:
* In 1998, Ancor will introduce a hairball remedy that can also be used by Ancor shareholders who frequently get a large lump in their throat the morning of earnings. It is unclear whether this will be a medicinal agent of some type, or will simply consist of improved revenue and earnings for the company.
* In 1999, Ancor will announce a complete Fibre Channel capable line of cat accessories, including food and water dishes, flea collars, leashes, scratching posts, catnip, gourmet cat food, and a SilkWorm litter box running the Microsoft Bob operating system.
* In 2000, Kerry will reveal that Ed's Cat had been secretly indoctrinated into the Fibre Channel "cult" late in 1997.
* In 2001, Ancor will dedicate their new headquarters. Ed's Cat will be in attendance at the dedication ceremony when the cornerstone is laid, and will be mortared, er immortalized at that time. See this link for additional details: Message 3427279
