IBC is a barter service for retail, professional and corporate companies. Trading of the stock began Feb. 12 at 1 1/8 under the symbol IBCX. The stock closed at 1 3/4 on 3/6/98. IBC incorporated in November 1996 with the intent of consolidating the barter industry. The first acquisition was Cascade Trade (CTA) in Seattle, which began in 1983. The president and founder of CTA is the president of IBC. No further mergers were planned until the company's stock began trading. Within two weeks of the stock trading IBC opened two offices and acquired a 3rd company in Texas, doubling their size. Many more are planned. This thread was set up to discuss IBC as a public company, it's potential and risks, and freely discuss how and which companies use barter. The officers of the company started this discussion and will monitor and contribute when appropriate. | ||||||||||||||
