All stock brokerage firms require that disputes be settled by arbitration. The wording is in the agreement you signed when you opened your account. But, once your broker has taken advantage of you and refuses to listen to reason, what do you do next? Has anyone had a good experience with a particular lawyer? What are the pros and cons of self-representation? What's the best organization to serve as arbitrator, if the investor has a choice?
