Introduction Compact

Merger on May 14, 1998 of Loews Theatres Exhibition group,
a unit of Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) and Cineplex Odeon Corporation (CPX - NYSE, CPX - TSE)
to be named Loews Cineplex Entertainment. Listed on the NYSE as LCP
and on the TSE as LCX. The company will be headquarted in New York City with Canadian headquarters in Toronto.

Loews Cineplex is one of the world's largest motion picture exhibition companies with projected revenues of approximately $1 billion. They have over 2,700 screens in 425 locations in 22 cities
in the U.S. and 6 provinces in Cananda.
