--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
GOODRICH, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 26, 1998--AIM Smart Corp. (OTC:AIMS), the leading provider of advertising/Internet solutions for major malls, and WellsPark Group Tuesday announced a complete roll-out program.
WellsPark Group joins Simon DeBartolo (NYSE:SPG) and The Rouse Co. (NYSE:RSE) as exclusive AIM Smart partners. The roll-out provides targeted, interactive advertising solutions for merchandisers. Shoppers get targeted coupons, free Internet access and online shopping access to their local mall.

"We welcome WellsPark into the AIM Smart national network," said Bob Van Duren, president of AIM Smart. "WellsPark recognizes that national advertisers and retailers want a national mall/Internet network for micro-targeted coupons, advertisements, and new product roll-outs."

"Whether at home or in the mall, shoppers can locate products and coupons faster. The AIM Smart program builds traffic by helping shoppers enjoy shopping," said Carl Chudnofsky of WellsPark Group.

WellsPark Group owns 31 indoor malls, mainly in New England, averaging more than one million square feet per mall. More than 200,000 customers typically shop each week at each WellsPark mall.

The biggest Wells Park mall is Peabody with five major anchors, more than 120 retail stores and 1.7 million square feet.

One of the more unique WellsPark malls is CambridgeSide Galleria in Cambridge, Mass., near Harvard Square. This unique urban mall features a waterfront location with boat rides up and down the Charles River beginning at the mall. Most of the other WellsPark malls are in suburban neighborhoods.

AIM Smart Backgrounder

For the first time in history, advertisers can measure the true cost effectiveness of advertising, by individual mall within a national network. The AIM Smart network generates four revenue streams:

-- Mall-based interactive, micro-targetable, advertising (see "Mall
Vehicle" below);
-- Internet-based advertising delivered by free Internet access,
under the brand name of the mall;
-- Electronic commerce transaction fees, from Internet members who
cybershop at mall retail stores;
-- Granular market research on local, regional and national levels.
Mall Vehicle
The in-mall communications vehicle is a set of pavilions with video and interactive, touch-screen displays (which also supports free Internet access at home or the office).

Mall shoppers get up-to-the-minute information regarding product/store/promotion/location information specific to their own interests. At the same time, advertising and coupon messages (from local retailers all the way up to national advertisers) are streamed to displays around the shopper.

AIM Smart's Competitive Advantage

-- There is room for only one supplier of advertising/Internet
solutions per mall.
-- By summer 1998, AIM Smart expects to have firm contractual
roll-out agreements with three quarters of the nation's largest
600 malls, which will form a national network of mall-based,
Internet-connected advertising channels, all driven by the AIM
Smart Advertising.
AIM Smart is the leading provider of interactive shopping, marketing and advertising solutions for shopping malls. AIM Smart's Smart Pavilion/Smart Shopper Explorer service won two national Microsoft (Nasdaq:MSFT)-sponsored "best of breed" Retail Application Development (RAD) awards.
AIM Smart's Web site is aim-smart.com.
