WILTON, CONN. (June 11) BUSINESS WIRE -June 11, 1998--Intelligent Decision Systems, Inc. (OTC BB:IDSI), a producer of information solutions for the Internet and Business Intranets, has signed an irrevocable option to purchase a dynamic Internet browser enablement technology utilizing PICK/BASIC as the underlying system. "This pending acquisition perfectly complements our present technology and allows IDS to make a significant impact in e-commerce," said David Horowitz, CEO of IDS. "The rapidly expanding Internet marketplace, which industry analysts predict will soon exceed $300 billion in sales, has caused us to reposition our proprietary software and re-engineer ourselves to capture a significant market share," Horowitz added.
"This acquisition will allow IDS to benefit from a landmark software project completed by a 55 person R&D laboratory in Moscow," said David Zigray, former Senior VP of Engineering of PICK Systems.

As quoted from a PICK World article, "The PICK System is used by nearly 80% of Fortune 1000 companies (4 million daily end-users). Over the last 20 years the PICK System has been managing data for major organizations such as American Airlines, American Express, Bank of America, Citicorp, General Electric, Motorola, Travelers Group, The Library of Congress, Department of Commerce, Stanford University, and Harvard." "These multi-billion dollar organizations recognize the powerful relational simplicities built into the relational database management system," said Zigray.

"My task was to build a world class software R&D facility. Our 55 person team consisted of top former Soviet space and satellite programmers and scientists, who provided the depth of specialization needed. The major product of this facility was a Graphical User Interface (GUI) Enabling software that complements IDS's SCREENWARE 4GL and provides the foundation for our dynamic Internet browser-enabled technology," said Zigray.

"With this new technology, IDS is strategically positioned to participate in this multi-billion dollar industry. This breakthrough programming achievement makes it possible for IDS to offer any company the ability to enhance its revenue by providing it almost instantaneous access to e-commerce," said David Horowitz. "We believe that this dynamic Internet browser enablement technology will position IDS to become one of the leading participants in the increasingly lucrative Internet e-commerce marketplace," Horowitz concluded.

"The new dynamic Internet browser enabling technology, based on the GUI software breakthrough of the Russian R&D team, will make it possible for IDS to leverage its software investment and provide an immediate solution to large and small retail firms looking for a powerful, cost efficient interface to e-commerce on the Internet," said Zigray.
