Introduction Compact

Peoplesoft's shares were slammed on Friday, Oct. 2nd, 1998 on analyst downgrades from Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. These came conspicuosly the after Peoplesoft was added to the S & P 500. Whether this was price manipulation or genuine concern over the company's future, we may nenver know. But one thing is for certain -- Peoplesoft is a stock to watch, and I for one, will not be watching from the sidelines.
