Lucent is now legally able to acquire networking companies. What are the most likely possiblities? I own shares in Cabletron (CS), Shiva (SHVA)and 3COM (COMS). I do not think 3COM is a likely acquisition. I am not sure about SHVA. I do think CS is possible as well as ASCEND (ASND). I do not know if MADGE Networks (MADGF) is a possibility. Which of these stocks or others have a good chance of being looked at by Lucent? Which make the most business sense for Lucent to acquire? Is anyone interested in contributing insight on this topic? I would like to discourage hype and encourage thoughtful commentary and reasonable opinions. - RDH. | ||||||||||||
