It's looking like a 30 year bond at 4.7% is impossible to sustain. Unless the whole world is ending there doesn't appear to be any rational reason to loan the U.S. Government money at such a low rate. What does anyone think of buying TYX options. I'm investing in the March 99 50s (symbol QTYXCJ). They should go up if rates go up. Is anyone else buying these options?
