Chancellor Media is one of the largest radio station owners in the US, with about 105 stations in 22 major markets. Its purchase of Capstar Broadcasting will make Chancellor the top dog of US radio owners with more than 485 stations in 105 markets. It owns spot-advertising seller Katz Media Group and has formed AMFM Radio Networks to provide programming to its stations in cities including Chicago,Los Angeles, and New York. Chancellor also owns 13,000 billboards and outdoor displays in 12 states. Its TV holdings include ownership of seven network affiliated stations, and local marketing agreements with another four in seven states.
