Radio broadcaster Infinity Broadcasting is #2 in the US in terms of sales (behind the proposed Chancellor Media/Capstar Broadcasting giant). The company, a subsidiary of CBS, has more than 160 radio stations in 34 US markets, broadcasting a range of formats,including rock, news/talk, country, and oldies. Almost all of Infinity Broadcasting's stations are in the US's 50 top radio markets. Subsidiary TDI Worldwide sells outdoor advertising space (including billboards and kiosks) in more than 10 US markets as well as in the UK and Ireland. After its planned IPO, CBS will retain an 80% interest in the company, which it bought in late 1996.
