I noticed that Silicon Investor has posted an advertising banner to this site.

Reading the fine print, it appears to be a thinly disguised pyramid scam. The scheme is as old as time. They guarantee paper profits that are too good to be true, take credit card payments from "investors", and then close down the site as the pyramid collapses.

Why is Silicon Investor advertising this garbage? Isn't that against the law in the US -- or do they assume we're that stupid?
