Articles on anticipated problems occurring on 9/9/1999 are popping up more frequently.

Here is the place to keep those articles; they will become of interest beginning of September!

This is a special Y2k problem, because NINES were used in the (distant) past as a special marker for things like 'End Of File' ( in very old versions of Cobol and other programming languages ); and for other special information.

9/9/1999 will be another 'Spike' date; the number of Y2k related problems will spike around and shortly after that date IMO. It might well be another indicator of the severity of the Y2k problem on 1/1/2000.
