Rica Foods, Inc. currently controls Pipasa and As de Oros, the largest poultry producers in Costa Rica, which cover approximately 70% of the Costa Rican total poultry market. These companies market under the brand names of Pipasa, As de Oros, Aguilar y Solis,Kimby, Mimados, Nutribel, Supremo, Kanin, Ascan and Chulitas in Costa Rica and Central America. Pipasa is one of the most recognized chicken producers in Central America and supplies poultry products in Costa Rica to Burger King, Pizza Hut,Subway, KFC franchises as well as Gerber Products and McDonald's restaurants in Central America. Through the acquisition of As de Oros, the Company owns 36 fried chicken fast food restaurants named "Restaurantes As de Oros, S.A."
