<<DENVER, Jan. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- United International Holdings, Inc ("UIH") (Nasdaq: UIHIA) announced today that its subsidiary, United Pan-Europe Communications N.V. ("UPC"), has signed a letter of intent with Microsoft Corporation ("Microsoft") to establish a technical services relationship. As part of this relationship, UPC and Microsoft plan to set up a series of joint projects to deliver Internet, telephone and other interactive video services to UPC and non-UPC broadband customers in Europe. Microsoft and UPC will also establish a joint technology board to review technolgy issues and shape technology specifications and directions. UIH is a leading provider of video, voice, data and programming services outside of the United States, with operations in 20 countries throughout the world.
