("UPC"), has signed a letter of intent with Microsoft Corporation ("Microsoft") to establish a technical services relationship. As part of this relationship, UPC and Microsoft plan to set up a series of joint projects to deliver Internet, telephone and other interactive video services to UPC and non-UPC broadband customers in Europe. Microsoft and UPC will also establish a joint technology board to review technolgy issues and shape technology specifications and directions.
