Pacificare Health Systems must exist in a parallel universe. How else can one explain increasing margins in this health care environment, especially in the Medicare arena? The pricing pressure is not there, healthcare is a buyer's market, the feds and employee health care plans have health care providers where they want them. Humana, Oxford Healthcare, Tenet, et al certainly do not exist in PHYSA's universe.
